I grew up in Jersey in a home full of cross-stitched towels, placemats, and coasters — all thanks to my mum, who passed down the craft from her Portuguese Madeiran roots. When I was younger, I’ll be honest, I thought it all looked a bit old-fashioned. But as I got older and joined the cross stitch community (I’ve been part of People Cross Stitch since 2015), I started to see just how creative and fun it could be.
That’s when I came across the world of cheeky and playful cross stitch designs — and I instantly loved it. I realised this was something I wanted to do more with, so I decided to turn my passion into a business.
Now, as the first to bring bold and modern cross stitch designs to Jersey, I’m proud to give this traditional craft a fresh twist. It’s been so rewarding to share something that combines creativity, humour, and a bit of personality with our local community.
